After the Afterglow Reviews.  See what the press had to say about our debut production:

  • "If you're like me, the experience [of After the Afterglow] will leave you eager to spend more time with the group in the coming months."  -Richard Ades, The Other Paper, June 5, 2008 (click here for the whole review)
  • "[Raconteur's] premiere production...offered an extremely relateable theatre experience."  -Dwayne Steward, The Newspaper Network of Central Ohio, June 2, 2008 (click here for the whole review)

Raconteur Theatre is here to produce consistently high quality  plays that tell engaging and challenging stories that are relevant to people in all walks of life.  We want to revive theatre as a meaningful community experience for everyone - not just "theatre people."  These values shaped the structure of our first production After the Afterglow:

  • We performed in a coffee shop - to offer theatre where people already were
  • We offered the option of attending one or both of the one-act plays - so people could see theater when they wanted

Our next production is Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen which explores universal struggles that span across eras.  Mark your calendars for this once banned play running October 2-18 at Madlab.
